Getting Settled

Slowly but surely I have moved in. I have a big empty place, but a full bedroom fridge and bathroom. Now I'm on the hunt for furniture. Still not connected at home to the internet, that could take up to a month. So hope to have some skype conversations home in February, patience is a virtue!

I met some people who surf so maybe I'll try that out this weekend. Work has been awesome, lots of new ideas on how to improve things here. Love my staff. I can tell things can be frustratingly slow and political but whats life without a little challenge. Apparently getting off island every 3 months is a necessary coping strategy. First stop I think will be Western Samoa, then I'll be doing a southern wedding tour in May.

Little men that hold my toothbrush and razor from Mom, sadly one jumped off the wall and broke his leg, then he jumped again and broke his head, but they looked nice for a little bit. I would jump of that wall too it is dirty. I need to get some cleaning stuff.

Can't wait to use this board.

Lamp from Christmas tree shops that I shipped myself, and clock from Grandma & gramps it works great!

Anyone want to come over for a beer?

Hi Christin, diggin' the new pix of your place! I love escaping each day to Samoa living vicariously through you.

Great to hear from you again and see more photos! Your place looks HUGE! You are getting settled in nicely. Your bedroom looks comfy....nice touches around. So happy you mentioned how work is going. I have been wondering about that. You sound so happy even though things may be very challenging. You can't get internet fast enough for me. Anxious to SKYPE you. Let me know how the surfing goes. Are you driving? Do you have a vehicle of your own? You know me...full of questions. Keep in touch. Miss you.

I don't yet have a vehicle of my own that is my next step. I feel pretty dependent until then. I want a truck! But I guess I should wait to my first paycheck. Miss you too!

have not seen any other little men, but if i find them i will grab them. like your beside chalkboard decals too! Don't you do well with modifications! Speak soon and love of cool breezes your way! mama

Could you send your mailing address to your home? Did you or any of your family happen to see 60 Minutes last Sunday? It was informative about American Samoa. Who knows...you might hook up with a big, strong, handsome NFL Samoan football player!!! Church was nice today...good music, of course. Ed popped a string during the service. Quickly fixed, however. Poor Eve...on top of her father passing away, her husband, Tom (who is a retired cardiologist)is in the hospital with an arrythmia heart problem. It happened when he was out running on Friday (which he does daily). They had to shock it back into a normal rhythm and he is still in the hospital as they try to find the cause for it. Eve has had quite the week! It is a bright, sunny day here with the temp about 40 degrees. Have to get out there today. Heavy rain and wind is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Hope you are adjusting to the heat. Looking forward to your next update.

Wow I'll say a prayer for Eve. Glad the music was good. Haven't yet made it to a church hopefully next Sunday. I asked around and found a group that goes. Address i'm sharing a PO Box. So
