Victory!

Today I bowed to the wave gods and... they bowed back! It was amazing. 1) I popped up from belly to feet (no more swollen knees for me). 2) I caught a wave on the outside set and rode DOWN the wave rather than just having the wave push me, it was like gliding through a fresh batch of jello and 3) I "made the section" which means I was able to maneuver across white-wash to the other section of the wave.. in order to extend the ride.

Now I will get back to my studies, but if you want to find me this fall I think I'll be on the beach in Newport waiting for the hurricane swells.

Hi Hula Hon!

I suppose efforts do get rewarded.. Gliding down some jelly sounds extremely nice ;) How are you doing in Hawai? Is it as nice as everyone believes?
My jacket arrived almost two weeks ago, so thank you for that! My mum says it still looks very nice on me :) Don't you just love globalization? Although i must say it seems quite stupid that the jacket travelled from thailand, to the states, across the states, and from there to holland! So much for reducing CO2 emissions.. Enjoy and see you in a couple of weeks!

Big hug, Jolien
