Picture of Hawaiian Happiness to come..
I have several pictures that I am trying to upload, but for some reason they aren't uploading.. So you will just have to wait
Today I saw the most active volcano in the world! It was very nerdy earth science cool! I walked across the piping hot crater dodging hot steam vents which were a reminder of the hot lava flowing under in lava tubes. Tonight hopefully I will get to see that lava from the boat at night flowing into the sea! I even got to go to a museum where they showed both the Hawaiian mythology of the volcano goddess Pele, the goddess of FIRE, along side her story were the seismographs which were recording activity from various locations around the point at which the museum stood. I took a moment to jump near the demonstration seismograph to try to figure out how it works. I think I almost get it, but if anyone has a very simple explanation please do comment. Okay, the sun is almost setting which is my cue to get outside and give thanks for the day.
Pictures to come.
